Bellum II, the third album by Australia's Aquilus, led by creator Horace Rosenqvist, debuts at number 10 on the chart. Bellum II features two massive, seventeen-minute songs, besides six shorter ones, showcasing the band's ability to balance symphonic and atmospheric black metal elements. The second album in a two-part concept, following the release of the first in 2021, offers a sensory experience that defies expectations.

At number 39, we have another band that just released their third album. I'm talking about Finnish progressive metal trio Wheel, consisting of vocalist and guitarist James Lascelles, lead guitarist Jussi Turunen, and drummer Santeri Saksala, with their latest album, "Charismatic Leaders." The album addresses the topic of a "charismatic leader" and personality cults, with the opening track "Empire" being a standout.

On March 29, Riitasointu released their debut album, "Pedon leikki," which debuts at number 58 on the Horns Or Thorns charts. Two members from Before Eternity formed the folk black metal band in 2020. The album's concept revolves around old tales from the Tavastia region, inspired by the literary work of national author Aleksis Kivi.

Reforming after disbanding in 2013, Dååth released their fifth album, The Deceivers, after a 14-year wait. After previously evolving their sound from industrial metal to a combination of melodic death metal and groove metal, the new release continues the band's progression, updating their sound to a more modern one with the help of new members.

Active since 1986 and having released 11 previous albums, German progressive metal band Vanden Plas is known for their consistent excellence in the genre. Ranked at number 82 on the chart, we find their 12th album, 'The Empyrean Equation of the Long Lost Things', featuring six new tracks with a run-time of over 55 minutes. The band's first lineup change since 1990 has had keyboard player Günter Werno replaced with Alessandro Del Vecchio, who adds dimension to the music and creates a Dream Theater vibe.
